Biography

Born in Toronto, Canada, and based on the French Riviera since 1992, Suzi Jameson is a singer, pianist, songwriter and composer whose career has always been guided by one ambition: to create genuine moments of emotion and connection through music.

After releasing her first album of original songs, Entre Nous (1996), recorded in Montréal under the direction of Daniel Berthiaume, Suzi continued writing and performing while developing a unique musical identity that combines jazz, French chanson and original compositions.

Her second album of original material, Cheval de Feu, was recorded in Nice with acclaimed guitarist and producer Éric Sempé, further establishing her as both an accomplished songwriter and performer.

Deeply inspired by the great poets of French chanson, Suzi went on to produce two highly personal tribute albums.

L'Ombre de ton Ombre pays homage to Jacques Brel through sophisticated jazz arrangements. Recorded at Studio 26 under the direction of Frédéric Bétin, the project brought together an exceptional team of musicians including legendary double bassist Marc Peillon, who also served as Artistic Director, pianist Claude Tedesco, trumpeter Christian Martinez and several outstanding jazz musicians.

A few years later came NougaRIO, an original reinterpretation of Claude Nougaro's repertoire infused with Brazilian jazz rhythms. Recorded at Studio Marylin under the direction of Jean-Pierre Chardiet, the album reunited Marc Peillon as Artistic Director alongside Ronnie Rae (piano), Christian Martinez (trumpet), Philippe Combelle (drums), Sylvain Sourdeix (saxophone) and an outstanding ensemble of Riviera jazz musicians.

Marc Peillon remained a close musical collaborator throughout many years of concerts and recordings. His artistic generosity and friendship left a profound mark on Suzi's musical journey, and she considers it a privilege to have shared so many memorable projects with him.

Over the years, Suzi has performed at numerous jazz festivals and cultural events, including the Nice Jazz Off Festival and the Juan-les-Pins Jazz Off Festival. She also directed the artistic programme of the Château des Ollières for several seasons, creating and producing concerts and themed musical evenings.

Her international career has taken her to many Club Med resorts around the world as a Club Med Talent artist, including a memorable series of performances aboard the legendary Club Med II, accompanied by her jazz trio.

Alongside public concerts, Suzi has always enjoyed creating bespoke performances for private audiences. Weddings, corporate events, cocktail receptions and exclusive celebrations have become an important part of her artistic activity. Today she performs regularly with saxophonist Fabrice Vaure, with whom she shares a long-standing musical partnership.

More recently, Suzi has brought together her passions for music, hospitality and the French art of living by hosting intimate musical dinners, private concerts and jazz evenings at her home overlooking the French Riviera. She also organises popular Jam Sessions where professional musicians come together for evenings of spontaneous music-making, creating unforgettable experiences for her guests.

Whether performing on stage, around a grand piano or in the intimacy of a private home, Suzi believes that music is first and foremost about bringing people together. Every concert is an invitation to share emotion, elegance and authenticity.
